- 1. 1919 American LaFrance triple combination pumper. This engine was purchased new for fire station #17 in the Wylam neighborhood of Birmingham, AL. The last horses were replaced in Wylam in 1916. A motorized Seagrave combination chemical and hose wagon probably took their place. This engine was their first new pumper.
- 2. 1921 American LaFrance triple combination pumper. This engine was purchased new for fire station 20 in the Five Points West neighborhood of Birmingham, AL. Station 20 was built and placed in service in 1920. An early motorized Seagrave, combination chemical and hose wagon, was assigned there until the new American LaFrance arrived. This was 20s first pumper.
- The photo of the firemen with their engine shows the front of the old Seagrave in the bay at station20. The firemen in the photograph are not identified. The following named firemen were assigned to station 20 in 1920:
